Psychedelic-assisted therapy

Guided journeys for exploration, healing, and growth.

Psychedelics offer new ways to experience and understand our internal and external worlds.

They invite cognitive, psychological, and somatic insight and opportunity for lasting change. Dr. Meyer tailors the stages of preparation, administration, and integration to the needs and goals of each client.

Meet Dr. Becca Meyer

Becca is a licensed psychologist in Illinois and Colorado with nearly two decades of clinical experience. She earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and completed her doctoral training at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She is certified in psychedelic-assisted therapy through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and continues to deepen her understanding in the field.

Becca maintains her private practice on Chicago’s north shore and travels to Colorado to facilitate natural-medicine sessions. In both settings, she supports clients’ pursuit of vitality, meaning, and joy. She especially enjoys helping clients who feel stuck and are ready for significant change. Her psychedelic practice focuses on thoughtful preparation, creating and maintaining a space for the journey, and purposeful integration. She is passionate about consciousness exploration and open to mysteries of the unknown.

What is psychedelic assisted therapy?

Psychedelic-assisted therapy is a powerful process for exploration, healing, and growth. With intentional use and skillful guidance, psychedelic medicines help people access and work through deep emotional, psychological, and spiritual material. Please note: While psilocybin has been decriminalized and is legal for therapeutic use at the state level in Colorado, it remains a Schedule 1 substance under federal law.

How it works:

1. Screening

The first—and essential—step in this process is determining whether psychedelic-assisted therapy is a good fit for you, both medically and psychologically.

I invite you to reach out so we can discuss the screening process in more detail.

2. Preparation

During preparation sessions, we take time to clarify your intentions, prepare mind and body for your medicine journey, and create space for any questions or concerns.

3. Journey

Psilocybin journeys will take place in a Natural Medicine Healing Center, licensed by the state of Colorado, and ketamine journeys will occur in my office on Chicago’s north shore.  Each medicine journey is unique, and we’ll co-create the details together.

4. Integration

The integration process is essential for translating a psychedelic experience into lasting, positive change.  Together, we’ll explore ways to engage the heightened neuroplasticity that follows a medicine journey- supporting your growth and transformation.  This may include practices like journaling, somatic work, meditation.

Fees

Each psychedelic-assisted therapy plan is thoughtfully tailored to the individual.

Costs vary, based on factors including Natural Medicine Healing Center fees, cost of the medicine, number of preparation & integration sessions, and any applicable travel expenses. Estimated costs range from approximately $1000-$3000 for ketamine-assisted therapy and $3000-$6000 for psilocybin assisted therapy.
